you are looking at 2 cars and two different counties. yes the car with the driver is san franciso county and the car in the foreground is in san mateo county another way to tell is by these signs. to the left is thursday street cleaning the daly city side and to the right is friday street cleaning the san francisco side another huge difference is the cost of a parking ticket if lets say you deceide to park on the sidewalk so if you park on this side of the line the ticket is well over 100 dollars
9:47 am
however if you park on this side of the line the ticket is only 38 bucks and just because you see a san francisco street sign it doesn't always mean that you are actually in san francisco because sometimes just a few feet away the signs chance to daly city signs this car is getting a ticket for 38 bucks had it been 100 feet back the ticket would skyrocket to 100 plus this city and county line is so weird that sometimes homes are split in half by county borders so what this means is that parking enforcement has to
9:48 am
manually enter in the address to confirm which county the vehicle is in before issuing a ticket can you imagine what it would be like if the parking on the sidewalk in sanfrancisco was only 38 bucks you would probably see more city vehicles like this parked on the sidewalk oh wait they don't ticket their own vehicles ver often of course since they are two different counties i'm sure illegal dumping of lets say this couch would have different penalties as well
9:49 am
yes i caught them in the act this is a tale of two cities but unlike the charles dickens version this will require a follow up so litterly you can park on the same street have the exact same violation but your ticket could be cheap or expensive all depending on which city you are parked in in daly city, no in san francisco oh heck right on the border to both cites stanley roberts kron 4 news last year automakers
